BUSY WEEKEND FOR BOXING KICKS OFF TOMORROW AM

“This is a busy weekend for boxing, particularly boxing in New York City,” stated Joe DeGuardia, President of the BPA. “Tomorrow morning we get things started with the latest meeting of the Boxing Promoters Association (BPA) at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. Later on that evening, also at the Roosevelt Hotel, will be the annual BWAA dinner. The following day sees the much anticipated return of championship boxing at Yankee Stadium, when WBA Super Welterweight Champion, Yuri Foreman, defends his championship against three-time World Champion, Miguel Cotto. I believe I speak for everyone in the boxing world when I say that the next few days will be very exciting for New York and for Boxing.”
