The broadcast will feature three action packed bouts.
The broadcast’s featured bout saw the return of Long Island’s former world champion, CHRIS ALGIERI, in a 10-round super lightweight bout against tough veteran ANGEL HERNANDEZ. Algieri wasted no time flashing his incredible hand speed, and master boxer style for his hometown fans. Returning for the first time since 2016, Algieri will look to take down the top dogs at 140 lbs., just as he did in 2014 when he defeated the feared RUSLAN PROVODNIKOV to earn the WBO Championship of the World. Tune in to see the return of Chris Algieri, as he begins his march towards another world title in 2019.
In a scheduled 8-round Super Welterweight bout, undefeated Elmont native TYRONE “PRETTY BOY” JAMES and LEO CARRIZALES put on an electric show for the sold out crowd. The all action bout made it to the 8th round, but stopped before the final bell due to a TKO victory. The crowd was on their feet for the entirety of the fight. Don’t leave your seat during this one, you will not want to miss a single punch.
Opening the action, Super Lightweights TERELL “THE PROBLEM CHILD” BOSTIC and OMAR “THE BEAST” BORDOY put their undefeated records on the line, and did not disappoint. In an all out gut check, both men left everything they had in the ring, fighting to a split decision victory, as only one man left “Rockin’ Fights” 33 with an undefeated record intact.
On the NESN broadcast, you will hear top notch analysis from commentator, and in-ring analyst, Jahmai Webster as well as former middleweight champion, and Massachusetts native, Dana Rosenblatt.
