JOE DEGUARDIA’S STAR BOXING is pleased to announce that if you were unable to attend “SLUGFEST at the SUN”, live from beautiful Mohegan Sun, on January 26th, you will be able to watch it via tape-delay, airing on NESN (New England Sports Network) TOMORROW NIGHT (Saturday 2/9) at 8:00 PM ET.

The broadcast will feature four action packed bouts.
The broadcast’s featured bout saw feared knockout artist, CLETUS “THE HEBREW HAMMER” SELDIN (now 23-1 19KO’s) take on Hungarian power puncher, ADAM MATE (now 28-14 21KO’s) in scheduled 10-round super lightweight bout. However, as billed, this fight did not last long as Seldin once again displayed is unbelievable punching power. Tune-in early and do not leave your seats as the action begins right from the opening bell, in classic Seldin style.
In a scheduled 8-round bout, Mohegan Sun was in an uproar when their hometown hero, “ACTION” ANTHONY LAUREANO (now 10-0 3KO’s) took on Louisiana’s RONALD “SAVAGE” RIVAS (now 5-9-2 3KO’s). In his trademark style, Laureano brought the action, committing to bone breaking body shots, landing at will. Rivas was tough as nails, picking himself off the canvas, as he hung in with Laureano for the full 8-rounds. Do not miss this phenomenal action fight featuring New England’s own, Action Anthony Laureano.
Puerto Rico’s ANGEL “EL GALLO” SUAREZ (now 8-3 3KO’s) took his shot at New England’s WILLIAM “THE SILENT ASSASSIN” FOSTER III (now 9-0 6KO’s) Jr. NABF Super Featherweight Title over a scheduled 8-round bout. Both men exchanged with each other consistently over the entire 8-rounds. Did Suarez take the belt home to his native Puerto Rico, or did Foster successfully defend his title? Be sure to catch this great title bout.
Finally, opening the action is a 4-round showdown between Bridgeport’s JACOB “LEFTY” MARRERO (now 2-0 2KO’s) and Hungarian ZSOLT KARVAJ (now 3-3 3KO’s). “Lefty” wasted no time flashing his signature left hand as he pounced quickly on the overwhelmed Hungarian. Have your television set for 8:00PM because this bout kicks the card off with fireworks.
On the NESN broadcast, you will hear top notch analysis from commentator, and in-ring analyst, Jahmai Webster as well as former middleweight champion, and Massachusetts native, “Dangerous” Dana Rosenblatt.

“SLUGFEST at the SUN” is presented by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing. The event takes place Saturday, January 26th at Mohegan Sun, in Uncasville, CT.
