Danny O’Connor exploded onto the boxing scene in 2012. Working his way up the world rankings, O’Connor earned a spot for himself in the top 15 super lightweights in the world. He has headlined some of the biggest venues in the Massachusetts area including the Boston Garden and Gillette Stadium, quickly building a crazed fan base.

Danny was a standout amateur with a record of 110-11. He won the 2008 United Stated Future Stars National Championship where he earned the “Outstanding Boxer Award.” He also took home the 2008 National Golden Gloves Championship. He was a 2007 US Olympic bronze Semi-Finalist, but his greatest accomplishment came when he represented his country in the 2008 Olympics as an alternate in Beijing, Chine.

While not in the gym, O’Connor protects his hometown of Framingham by putting out fires, literally. Danny is a full-time employed firefighter as part of the Framingham Fire Department. He is an avid soccer fan of the New England Revolution and Celtic F.C.

Danny holds the WBC International Silver Super Lightweight Title after defeating top rated prospect, Danny “El Gallo” Gonzalez by massive knockout in Star Boxing’s “Slugfest at the Sun” at Mohegan Sun in Nov. 2017. O’Connor has his eyes set on a world title shot, and will fight anyone that stands in his way. O’Connor is co-promoted by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and Murphy’s Boxing.
