Bio:
Super Lightweight, Ryan O’Rourke was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland training out of O’Rourke’s gym, owned and operated by his father, and trainer, Steve O’Rourke. Ryan is not very loud, or boisterous, but he strikes like an assassin in the ring, earning him the ring moniker “The Silent Assassin.”
O’Rourke’s pro debut came right in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, but he did not lot
allow that to deter his will. Securing opportunity after opportunity, O’Rourke his first seven
victories in the UK, Spain and Brussels. Finally, after much anticipation, the 2021 Irish Prospect of the Year, made his USA debut at Star Boxing’s Rivers Casino Fight Night in April of 2022, dismantling Faycal Rezkallah over a six-round shutout. O’Rourke would return to the states in November of 2022, and show a different facet of his game, destroying Andreas Maier by first round TKO.
O’Rourke is a skilled boxer who is growing into his strength. He uses his length to keep opponents
at bay, and puts together strong and creative combinations using angles to his advantage. He prides
himself on going to the body. He has been growing his fanbase in the US with every impressive
victory, with the hopes of continuing to raise his world rating, making a push for the ever coveted, world title.
