SIMONE “TYSON” FEDERICI (18-2-1 8KO’s) grew up in the suburbs of Corcolle Rome where he worked in his family run bar. His nickname “Tyson” is in homage of Mike Tyson, who is his favorite fighter. Simone’s Uncle, and current trainer Franco Federici was an established boxer, who bestowed his boxing pedigree on Simone at a young age. Simone was off to the races, accumulating 40 amateur bouts with the Italian National Amateur Boxing Team. In this span, Simone was a 2x Italian National Amateur champion.

Under his uncle’s tutelage, Simone turned pro in 2013. Through his first 12 professional bouts, Simone had an impressive record of 10-1-1 with six wins by way of knockout. Finally in his second challenge for the Italian National Cruiserweight Title, Simone defeated Francesco Cataldo by majority decision to earn the title. Simone would go on to defend his Italian Championship in his next two victories, adding the IBF Mediterranean Cruiserweight Title to his mantle in July of 2018 after defeating Zura Mekereshvili.

After signing with Star Boxing, Simone made landfall in the United States, and received the opportunity to fights Stivens Bujaj over 10 rounds for the WBC Continental America’s Cruiserweight Title. The fight was exciting as both men left it all in the ring. Simone would defeat Bujaj by unanimous decision, earn the WBC Continental America’s Title and would later be ranked #20 in the world by the WBC for his efforts.
